We were brought in to redesign the packaging for products made of glass shipping LTL. Prior to BoldtSmith Packaging working on the project, a previous consulting firm reviewed samples that were shipped to their office. Designs were created by leveraging the current packaging suppliers. The packaging suppliers tested the designs to a generic testing protocol. Pictures of the designs were put into a powerpoint and presented to upper management. Once the designs were shown to manufacturing, it was determined the new packaging designs would be a choke point in the current manufacturing process. The project was unsuccessful.
