A large portion of projects we work on at BoldtSmith Packaging are related to reducing costs and product damage for current products. Those are great projects that provide substantial return on investments for our customers.
Some projects however are customers reaching out looking for us to design packaging for new product introductions. A company recently reached out to BoldtSmith Packaging looking for this exact scenario!
The company sells concrete fastener components such as anchors and bits online direct through their website but also through e-commerce partners such as Amazon. They were releasing a new drop-in anchor system with a setting tool and required a packaging design.
The product is manufactured overseas and the customer did not want to rely on the product manufacturer to design and test the packaging. That process typically drags on for months due to poorly designed packaging, packaging design revisions, language barriers, shipping time, etc. BoldtSmith Packaging completed the project and the below listed goals in 15 days.
When reviewing the 3 packaging concepts, we also created the containerization files and specifications. This information was then sent to the product manufacturer. BoldtSmith Packaging was then able to create a financial analysis comparing all 3 packaging options. This gave us the information required to to give our customer a data driven packaging recommendation.
Since BoldtSmith Packaging is APASS certified with Amazon, the concepts also had samples created and passed the required Amazon testing. Learn more about BoldtSmith Packaging being APASS certified.
